About me
Photographer and Journalist Juan Martinez
Hola! My name is Juan Martinez. I’m a Colombian travel photojournalist and blogger, who has been living in Germany for the past 10 years. I wasn’t always a travel writer and photographer. After finishing university with a masters degree in construction engineering, I decided to save some money and follow my passion.
Traveling has always been my passion and through this blog, I´m able to share personal experiences, cultural encounters and the natural beauty hidden all over the world.
As a former contributor for Deutsche Welle in Germany and a freelance photojournalist for BBC Travel, I learnt that storytelling can make a huge difference in how we all see the world and the impact that we as travelers are doing.
Here, you will not only find stories about the road trips I´ve done all over the world, but also fun cultural facts like “Why Germans drink so much sparkling water?”, as well tips on how to prepare for long or short journeys with your friends and family.
After visiting almost 100 countries I experienced some the most beautiful and astonishing sunrises, eaten all different kinds of food, lived through many adventures.
On this website, I want to show you what I‘ve learned from all these journeys and hopefully inspire you to start your own adventure, too!
